This course will include theory and the practices associated with Indian head massage. The practical and theoretical knowledge related to Indian head massage will be taught along with communication and consultation. Health, hygiene, and safety will also be discussed in relation to this subject and a look at the benefits and uses of oils on the hair. Knowledge of contra-indications and contra-actions will be discussed as well as homecare and aftercare advice.
What You'll Learn
During this short course, you will learn the procedure with related theory, for Indian head massage. Homecare and aftercare advice appropriate to this massage will also be included.
A combination of practical and theoretical knowledge will be studied to allow a full understanding of this subject and support progression onto a related course.
You must be aged 19 or over to undertake this course.
No previous experience is required but an interest in massage therapy is helpful.
How you will be assessed
There are no exams or formal assessments on this course. Your progress will be supported through discussions with your tutor and the work you produce on the course.
