Gel Polish – C7471

This course will include theory and the practical application and removal of gel nails. Practical and theoretical knowledge related to gel nails will be taught along with communication and consultation. Health, hygiene, and safety will also be taught in relation to this subject. Knowledge of contra-indications and contra-actions will be discussed as well as homecare and aftercare advice.

Year 1

During this short course, you will learn a basic manicure procedure with related theory, application and removal of gel polish to the nails. Homecare and aftercare advice appropriate to gel nails will also be included.
A combination of practical and theoretical knowledge will be studied to allow a full understanding of this subject.

You must be aged 19 or over to undertake this course.
No previous experience is required but an interest in beauty would be helpful.

There are no exams or formal assessments on this course. Your progress will be supported through discussions with your tutor and the work you produce on the course.
