What You'll Learn

Year 1

During you first half of the college term, you will take part in an assessment during which you will have the opportunity to sample different teaching sessions to find which sessions challenge and develop your individual strengths and personal development goals.

You will take part in your choice of a variety of engaging programmes both practical and vocational. These are based around the outcomes identified within your EHCP. Sessions take place within the college’s purpose built provision and include art, discovery, sensory cooking, relaxation, yoga, music, life skills, performing arts, sensory workshop, switch/screen workshop, fun with food and Tac-Pac. You will have the opportunity to access the library, social space, college refectory and wider community in and around Leicester.

During your interview, you will meet a member of our team who will give you the opportunity to talk about your future aspirations and discuss any support needs you may require.

Many learners have already completed our Transition Sensory programme and are continuing their journey onwards.

We will need to see your learning disability assessment or your Education Health and Care plan (EHCP).
