Course Overview
This is an enjoyable and exciting course runs from St Margaret’s Campus, 9:15 – 11:45, each Thursday for 9 weeks and is open to everyone from beginners new to flower arranging to those looking to learn more complex arrangement techniques or even develop a professional eye for flower arranging.
During the course you will learn how to build floral displays and create a variety of arrangements to get the most from your flowers. You will be able to take all your arrangements home to share with friends and family. This course does not require any previous experience and is perfectly suitable for any and all levels of ability.
Those taking part in this course will need to bring their own fresh materials week by week as advised by the tutor.
What You'll Learn
Year 1
During the program you will be taught how to produce a variety of arrangements from button holes through to flower baskets, looking at which flowers are best for specific arrangements. Traditional and contemporary designs are covered and you will keep all arrangements made. You will also learn how to correctly care for flowers to prolong their life. This is a great course to do no matter what your ability is.

There are no entry requirements other than being over 19.

This is a practical course with no exams or assessments and no coursework.

Tuition Fees (16-18): £0.00
Tuition Fees (19+): £90.00
Additional Costs
The cost of the course is £90.00. However, you will not be required to pay a fee for this course if you are in receipt of one of the following benefits:
1. Universal Credit
2. JSA or ESA (Employment and Support Allowance Work Related Action Group)
3. There will be no fees if you earn less than £20,319.
Please note here will be a £12.50 materials charge payable at the beginning of the course to cover the cost of sundry items which will be provided on a weekly basis.

Course and Career progression
On completion, you may wish to enrol again and progress onto more complex arrangements. Or it might inspire you to look into enrolling on one of our full-time programs. Your tutor will be able to advise you on progression routes available to you. We do also run starting up your own business courses which may be of interest to you.
