Course Overview
Being an entrepreneur is one of the most rewarding thing in the world. As innovations continue to be the leading frontier of business growth, entrepreneurs have embraced this approach and entrepreneurs have implemented this notion to their business operations. Entrepreneurs are always finding ways to develop new ideas and create new products and services that create market value and opportunities. Entrepreneurial thinking has become the driver of global growth and more people are embracing their entrepreneurial spirit.
Whether you want to become an intrapreneur or entrepreneur, this course is designed to help you create new business idea or work for a leading company that drives innovations and blue sky thinking. This course is taught by lecturers that understand the industry and they would help you to build your key competences and skills to become an entrepreneur.
The first year of this programme will be taught at Leicester College and the second and the third year will be taught at De Montfort University.
What You'll Learn
Year 1
In the first year, you will study the following modules.
Block 1: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Today – this module offers students a theoretical and practical understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation in today’s contexts.
Block 2: Fundamentals of Business Theory and Practice – this module introduces students to the fundamentals of business theory and practice, including the diversity of internal and external contexts in which organisations operate.
Block 3: Marketing Principles for Entrepreneurship – this module offers students an introduction to marketing theory; brought to life by illustrating its practical application.
Block 4: Entrepreneurial Finance – this module aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role finance plays in the start and growth of new business ventures.
Entry Requirements
You will need a minimum of 32 UCAS point from a recognised Level 3 qualification. You are expected to have GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 and above.
How you will be assessed
A combination of lectures, seminars and group work will be used for the teaching process of this course.

Course and Career progression
After the first year of this course, you can progress onto the Level 5 and Level 6 BA Hons Entrepreneurship and innovation programme at De Montfort University. Students might decide to start their own enterprise as the first year of the programme will give them a good understanding of how they can set up a business through innovations.
