Course Overview

This training will help gas installers do the necessary gas safety assessment. It covers reported potential carbon monoxide or gas leaks. You will learn theory during the training in a purpose-built room. We will take you through any industry updates that have occurred since your last renewal. The training will also cover processes. These include using a CO/CO gas analyzer. It helps to determine compliance with appliance rules. You will learn the type and style of knowledge questions. You will answer these questions during an assessment and explain the best methods.

What You'll Learn

Year 1

It covers the changes to laws, norms, and work habits. This is after taking the last ACS assessment. You will learn how to use the necessary documentation. It will help you complete the assessments you need to do. All learners will also do hands-on gas safety installations. This will reacquaint you with the types of gas leaks you may not see every day. These include open-flued boilers, gas fires, and range cookers.

Entry Requirements

This course is for learners who are already Gas Safe qualified and are looking to add these carbon monoxide safety requirements and qualifications.

Assessments will be formative practical skills and a knowledge question paper.
