Course Overview
This 7-week course will give you the chance to work with clay on a small scale, using design work and various decorative techniques to develop and make a range of ceramic jewellery or miniature sculptures, using your own unique motifs.
We will use hand-building and slabbing techniques, plaster stamps and moulds, and you can try your hand at colouring porcelain clay with stains and pigments.
You will be encouraged to use a sketchbook to design and develop your ideas, produce test-tiles and keep a note of the techniques and processes you use to inform your final piece.
