The BIM (Building Information Modelling) training course is a comprehensive educational pathway designed to develop skills and proficiency in BIM from foundational concepts to advanced strategic implementation. Structured into three progressive levels of ability—basic, intermediate, and advanced—this program caters to both beginners and experienced professionals aiming to enhance their BIM expertise.
Basic BIM Course: Introduction to BIM • Understand the fundamental concepts, importance, and applications of Building Information Modelling (BIM). • Familiarise themselves with key BIM software tools, including Revit and ArchiCAD. • Create simple 3D models using BIM software. • Understand the principles of collaboration and model sharing within the BIM environment. • Apply basic BIM techniques to enhance design and construction processes.
No prior BIM experience is required, but a basic understanding of construction or design processes is beneficial.
Students will be assessed through practical assignments and a final project where they create a simple 3D model using BIM software.
