The aviation industry is growing rapidly and if you enjoy providing great customer service and thrive in a busy working environment, you may want to consider a career in the aviation industry. This course will allow you to learn the essentials required to embark on a fantastic career in aviation and is designed to be delivered on-line using Microsoft teams. This course is for adults aged 19+ who seek to achieve job roles within ground operations including baggage handling, check-in agents, ramp operatives, cabin crew, all the way to more advanced roles such as marshaling or air traffic control through further study. However, that is not the end as your journey will be supported by aviation professionals who have previously worked within the industry and provide you with amazing first-hand experiences. Guest speakers who currently work within aviation will also be on hand to enlighten your experience.
You will study three mandatory units: - Health and safety within the aviation industry - Aviation security - Aviation communications Additionally, you will study a range of optional units which could include areas such as airport check-in services, aircraft boarding, arrival and aircraft dispatch processes and customer service. Our aim is to give you a wider knowledge of the travel sector and learn a broad range of aviation terms.
This course is aimed at 19+ adults who already hold a full level 2 qualification. You will need a genuine interest in aviation operations and/or an interest in travel and tourism in order to get the most from your course.
You will be assessed by a variety of methods including written coursework, role plays, groups discussions, displays and presentations.

Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to attend an interview if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study. For enrol and pay courses: Once you have decided to take the course, you need to fill in a short learner details form online and pay the course fee. Once you have done this, you will receive an electronic confirmation of enrolment and payment.
