An Advanced and Creative Hair Professional works in the hair industry, which is one of the largest, most trusted and fashion-forward professions. The work environment can be varied in size, style and ambience, from a bespoke salon, the media industry, cruise ships, product houses and manufacturers to the luxury high-end hair salon. They are highly skilled and experienced individual professionals who deliver hair fashion-forward trends, which are innovative styles inspired by current images and their own creativity, individual flair, imagination and interpretation.
What You'll Learn
You will learn a variety of technical skills covering:
Health and Safety
Creative Styling and Dressing among other units which will be discussed with your assessor to ensure your course is bespoke to their needs. These include Gents hair cutting, photographic/competition work and a selection of business units.
Level 2 hair qualification.
How you will be assessed
You will be supported in the workplace and online on Microsoft Teams by a qualified and competent assessor/trainer. All students must complete 20% off-the-job training through a range of learning methods including college sessions. You will be assessed by written assignments, completing a small scale project, multiple choice test and professional discussions.
Total Fees: £3345.00

If you are aged 19 or over there is no government funding available for this course. However you may be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan for the course fee.
Course and Career progression
On completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to progress into supervisory or management roles.
A team leader/supervisor is a first-line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.
Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally.
