Course Overview

To enable practising gas installers to refresh themselves prior to taking ACS reassessment, mostly theory training delivered in purpose-built training room. Learners will be taken through any industry updates that have taken place since their last renewal. The training will also go through processes like using gas analyser for identifying appliance compliance. Learners will be familiarised with type and style of knowledge questions they will need to answer during assessment. and the best methods tog o about this.

This is a full cost course. There is no fee remission available and you cannot apply for an advanced learner loan to pay for your fees.

What You'll Learn

Year 1

Primarily covering the changes to legislation, standards and work practices since the last assessment. Learners will learn how to use the necessary documentation to help them complete the assessments they are planning to undertake. All learners will also get hands on with gas controls to re-acquaint them with the various controls in the assessment they may not service every day such as Cooker thermostats.

Entry Requirements

Re-assessment training is for learners who are already Gas Safe qualified and are looking to renew these qualifications.

How you will be assessed

Assessment will al be formative during the enjoyable and informative gas refresher training sessions.

Course and Career progression

Gas Safe registration is the normal progression for learners completing their re-assessment programme. Other elements can also be undertaken to enable a wider range of work to be undertaken by operatives when completing these extra assessments. Liquid Petroleum Gas is a popular element as it neatly aligns with natural Gas and increases the scope of work a engineer can offer.

What Happens Next

Apply online via the College website. You will be contacted to attend an interview if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study.

For enrol and pay courses: Once you have decided to take the course, you need to fill in a short learner details form online and pay the course fee. Once you have done this, you will receive an electronic confirmation of enrolment and payment.
