Course Overview
This course is to help you prepare to progress to GCSE English, it is for students who have English as a second language and have achieved or are studying at level 1.
This course is available at Abbey Park Campus and runs termly and you can join at any point in the term.
What You'll Learn
Year 1
In addition to improving and developing your English language skills, the course will focus on analysing texts, creative writing, grammar, and communication skills. You will also develop GCSE style study skills and learn about the application and usage of literary devices while reading a variety of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and dramatic works.
Entry Requirements
You must have achieved or are studying at level 1 or above ESOL courses.
How you will be assessed
You will complete an internal course assessment.
