Opportunity for adult learners to find out about courses at Leicester College

Virtual Adult Education Open Evenings from 5-8pm on Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 February 2021

Leicester College is hosting virtual Adult Open Evenings from 5-8pm on Tuesday 23 February to Thursday 25 February 2021. The free events include live streams and webinars aimed at promoting courses for adults (19+) looking for a career change or wanting to get back into education to improve their work prospects.

The events, which will stream live on Facebook, YouTube and the College website, will showcase Leicester College’s full range of opportunities including entry, level 1 and 2 courses, access courses, professional training, higher education and apprenticeships, with a focus on people aged 19 or over. There will also be representatives from the College’s Welfare, Finance and Careers teams talking about returning to education, options and finances.

• Adult GCSEs
• Apprenticeships
• Beauty Therapy and Make-Up

• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
• Fashion, Footwear, and Upholstery
• Hairdressing
• Performing Arts
• Photography
• Skills for Work
• Travel and Tourism

Adults who earn up to £17,004 are able to benefit from free adult courses* up to and including level 2 courses. Leicester College also offers Advanced Learner Loans to anyone aged 19 or above to assist with course fees for levels 3, 4, 5 or 6*. Partial or full loans are available and will only need to be paid back after completing the course and when earning over £21,000 per annum.
