Swissport the world’s largest global airline company, has established a partnership with Leicester College creating a Swissport Academy.

The academy has been created for new recruits to the industry and is the only one of its kind in Leicestershire. Leicester College learners will be given a rare glimpse of life behind the scenes at the airport.

“The academy is a crucial starting point for a future in the aviation industry and we are excited about the potential of the new learners from Leicester College”

The learners will be learning new skills required for airport ground handling services with the Level 2 Travel Operation and Level 3 Professional Travel and Tourism courses. The course will include a unique learning opportunity with the company. All learners are guaranteed an interview at the end of the training, with the view to a position with Swissport after graduation from the academy.
