Don Brooks, Deputy Principal for Quality, Planning & Corporate Services said: “Vocational qualifications should receive the same level of recognition as academic qualifications. There are GCSE and A-Level results days so it is appropriate to have a day to celebrate vocational qualifications.

“At Leicester College we offer a wide range of vocational courses which are designed to suit individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

“Vocational qualifications have never been more vital to the economy, they enable career focused individuals to undertake job-related work-based training, they support the growing range of apprenticeships, and they allow young people to study vocational programmes which enable them to be work ready.

“It is great to see so many people join forces to celebrate vocational achievement on VQ Day and Leicester College is proud to be part of these celebrations.”
