Leicester plastic engineering company Nylacast are among the many businesses who are attending the annual Apprenticeship Careers Fair at Leicester College on Thursday 6 March 2014, from 1pm to 5pm to discuss the benefits of hiring an apprentice.

The company already employ nine apprentices through Leicester College but are hoping to add to their workforce with another six vacant vacancies they currently have.

Ian Mallabone, Nylacast Group HR & Training Manager explains the reasons for supporting and endorsing the Apprenticeship Careers Fair at Leicester College, and about the benefits of hiring apprentices.

Nylacast have previously successfully recruited as a result of attending the Apprenticeship Careers Fair at Leicester College. For them this is a unique opportunity that allows apprentices and employers to meet face-to-face. The Fair gives aspiring apprentices the chance to speak with employers about their vacancies and businesses, and also to explore a number of different opportunities for an upcoming apprentice.

The Apprenticeship Careers Fair will be held at Leicester College’s Freemen’s Park Campus.

This year Leicester College is expecting more employers than ever before to promote existing and future vacancies for an apprentice within their businesses – with a broad range of sectors, with vacancies ranging from Construction to Hospitality, to Hairdressing, Pharmacy and Engineering.

The event is suitable for anyone who is looking for an apprenticeship, from those looking to undertake a pre-apprenticeship programme to those that are interested in pursuing full apprenticeships.
