Leicester College welcomed representatives from key local employers to a Key Account Stakeholder Event at the Freemen’s Park Campus today.

Attendees represented a host of organisations including Adey Steel, City and Guilds, Halfords Autocentres, Jelson, Leicester City Council, LLEP, Midlands Heart, NHS, Nylacast, Optima, the University of Leicester and William Davis Homes.

During the session, discussions took place around the College’s apprenticeship strategy, funding rules, HR updates, personal development, behaviour and attitudes, LLEP engagement, the Optima pilot programme and standards with awarding bodies.

Tina Jivraj, Business Development and Key Account Manager for the Apprenticeships Team at Leicester College commented: “After two years, it was great to have all of our key accounts and stakeholders in one room for updates on apprenticeships services. Thank you to everyone that attended and all of our guest speakers.

“What a fantastic morning and I am looking forward to working with them all and starting the planning process for their next recruitment for apprenticeships.”
