Transitioning from school to college can be a challenging step forward for many students, even more so for those who study from home.
Our Twilight Sessions are designed to support students who are currently home-educated, on a reduced-timetable at college, or have personal struggles with the idea of progressing to enrol at a larger college.
Students who would like to attend these sessions must be 15/16 years old or equivalent to Year 10/11.
Through our free workshops, we aim to help you develop the skills and confidence to make the right decision about your education options after completing your studies.
Our workshops will take place each Thursday between 4 pm – 5:30 pm throughout the month of March:
Thursday 5 March 2020, Week 1 at St Margaret’s Campus – welcome session including ice breaker activities
Thursday 12 March 2020, Week 2 at Freemen’s Park Campus – careers advice and options to consider when applying to colleges
Thursday 19 March 2020, Week 3 at Abbey Park Campus – health and well-being session with one of our College counselors
Thursday 26 March 2020, Week 4 at St Margaret’s Campus – Leicester College and you – our course offer and certificate ceremony
Each week you will rotate around our three campuses which will help you to understand student life at the college, the courses we offer at different campuses and develop your confidence in a larger college environment.
Upon completion of the Twilight Sessions, students will receive a certificate during an award ceremony for their commitment to these sessions.
