In partnership with the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Leicester College welcomes you to join us for a teacher development day in Acting.
This event presents the unique opportunity to expand your skills in dramatics and empower your students in both personal and professional development.
Focusing on three key topics for the modern drama teacher, our workshops aim to assist teachers to prepare students for this rapidly developing area of the arts. Workshops will include and be delivered by:
• Clair Haynes – acting to Camera.
• Chris Hill – acting on Impulse.
• Gemma Maddock – vocal techniques to empower, release and expose potential of the voice in acting.
Itinerary of the event:
9:30-10:00-Arrivals, coffee, and networking
10:00-10:30-Introductions and a short talk about ALRA, the BA Course and further opportunities for continuing professional development.
10:30-12:00-Workshop 1: Chris Hill on Acting on Impulse
13:00-14:30-Workshop 2: Gemma Maddock on The Actor’s Voice.
14:30-16:00-Workshop 3: Clair Haynes on Acting to Camera
16:00-Distribution of network lists and farewell.
All tickets include a buffet lunch and pre-registration is required.
Parking is available at Upper Brown Street Car Park, LE1 5TH, car parking charges are the responsibility of the attendee and cannot be reimbursed from Leicester College.
