Are you looking for a supportive environment that will help you develop your learning skills?
At our Supported Learning Taster Day, you can find out more about what Leicester College can do to help students transition into Further Education. Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a fun creative activity, whilst helping yourself to refreshments.
There will be the Supported Learning members of staff around to answer any questions about the support, courses and structure we offer at Leicester College. With a vast range of support programmes for those who have an additional learning need and require support, Leicester College are able to offer you advice on what would be the best path suited to you!
On our Taster Day there will be a number of fun interactive activities that visitors will be able to take part in. We have two time slots for our visitors to book onto a Taster session, 10am until 12pm, and 12pm until 2pm. (Please see below for booking form requests and contact details)
Our taster sessions will consist of:
- Refreshments available on arrival.
- Introduction to Leicester College and short presentation with our Supported Learning team.
- A number of fun activities will begin at both campus’s (APC and FPC), that will give you the chance to take a look at all of our facilities and Supported Learning spaces.
- Q&A for all visitors.
**Lunch will not be provided, but Food Inc. will be open for all visitors to buy food or bring their own pack lunch** If you plan on staying to have your lunch please make this clear when booking your tickets.
Make sure you visit the right campus which will support your needs:
Abbey Park Campus (Painter Street LE1 3WA) – for students who have moderate learning disabilities (MLD). Our Abbey Park Campus will offer information on the following courses:
- Transition into Further Education
- Employability and Personal Development
- Leicester College Internship
- Leicester Works Programme – Supported Internship
Freemen’s Park Campus (Welford Road LE2 7LW) – for students who have severe learning disabilities (SLD), and profound or complex needs. Freemen’s Park Campus will offer information on the following courses:
- Learning for Living and work (Severe Learning Disabilities)
- Learning for Living (profound and complex needs)

You can register your interest in the drop-in day by booking a ticket, or simply come along on the day. Only the person thinking about studying at Leicester College needs to book a place, but you are welcome to bring your friends or family members with you.
Parking – As this event is taking place during the college day generally visitors would need to park off-site. Blue badge and school vehicle parking is available on request and, please select the appropriate box when booking your tickets. The cost of external parking is the responsibility of the visitor.
