Discover our further education opportunities and the support in place for care experienced young people
Moving to a new school or college can be unsettling and challenging, but also exciting, filled with new opportunities. We want young people who are thinking about studying with us to have all the information needed to make the right choices for them.
Our event for care experienced young people will give you a taste of what a further education college is like. You will be able to find out about the specialist support we have on offer, as well as the huge range of subjects that you can choose from, at all different levels.
Join us at one of the events happening on each campus:
- Abbey Park Campus – Monday 24th April at 5pm- 7.30pm.
- Freemen’s Park Campus – Thursday 27th April at 5pm- 7.30pm.
Both events will cover the following:
- support that can be provided to you as a care experienced young person
- tour of the campus and facilities
- fun team building activities to help you to get to know one another
- food and drink
You are welcome to come along to the event on your own. Or you can of course come with your carer, social worker or guardian to support you. Both of you will need to book a place to attend.
Different subjects are offered at different campuses, so if you are interested in a particular subject or career you may wish to go to the campus where you would study. If your interest is a subject at St Margaret’s Campus, still come along to either of the other campuses to get a taste of student life!
Invitations and booking details are being sent directly to virtual schools and other professionals to share with young people who are care experienced. You cannot book directly through the website for this event
