UCAS Drop-in Support Sessions at Leicester College

Content

The Leicester College deadline for submitting your UCAS application is drawing near and to help support you during the application process, the Careers team at Leicester College are providing UCAS Drop-in support sessions across each of the three campus sites; Abbey Park Campus, St Margaret’s Campus and Freemen’s Park Campus.

Why should I attend?

Firstly, completing your UCAS application accurately is essential; if the UCAS Co-ordinators at the college spot errors in your application, we will need to send your application back to you with a note advising you about what needs to be corrected. This process is time-consuming and can be avoided by submitting a correctly completed application initially. During a UCAS drop-in session, a Careers Adviser can check your UCAS application to spot any errors and help you to correct them.

What other support will be provided?

The Careers Advisers can help you to correctly enter your current qualifications, previous qualifications and the GCSEs you have gained. We can also assist students to enter their overseas qualifications as they are just as important as the qualifications being studied in the UK. Just make sure you bring your qualification certificates with you.

As Careers Advisers, we can read the draft of your personal statement and offer guidance about what you can consider changing, adding and omitting to make your statement be as effective as possible for you. It’s always best to come along to a drop-in with a draft of your statement, but if you don’t have one, we can give you advice about how to get started. We won’t write them for you though!

BTEC registration numbers can also be provided for your application if relevant and we can assist you to register with UCAS if you haven’t already done so.
