Taking her skills to the stage

Content

“I’ve been into make-up since I was little, stealing my Mum’s make-up,” says Evie Taylor, who’s on the Make-Up Artistry level 2 course at Leicester College.

“I knew that I was good at make-up and it was an obvious choice when I was at school, searching for things to do at college.

“I’ve really enjoyed the different eras that they teach you on the course, learning about the history of make-up. The other students and teachers have been great – we lift each other up and I feel inspired by them all. I’ve taken on new skills and created close friendships.

“I’m considering the option of moving on to a level 3 and then perhaps to university. I have a background in theatre and know the environment so ultimately, I’d like to end up in film, TV or theatre, utilising my make-up artist skills.”
