Part-Time Jobs for Students site on Moodle

Content

The demand for getting part-time a job whilst studying has never more relevant than today. There are many benefits to working including work experience, developing transferable skills, gaining confidence and of course money to help while studying. The College has job boards dotted around all three campuses, but we have decided to introduce a part-time jobs student site that is more easy to find on Moodle.

This new site will replace the Employability Hub and will be accessible through the College’s Moodle Site, it will highlight key vacancies by gathering job adverts from a variety of sources including those that are already available on the job boards as well as bespoke vacancies that are sent in by employers and other organisations – these are checked and listed.

The site will also allow access to the student guides to employment – providing advice on writing a CV,  interview techniques,  researching and applying for jobs. It will also have information abou the College’s work club.

The students have access to the College’s Careers Team who are available five days a week on a variety of platforms including e-guidance through info@leicestercollege.ac.uk and social media platforms see below.

Hopefully, this site will become an integral part of the students experience at Leicester College’s preparing them adequately for the UK workforce and the skills required by today’s employers

Part-Time Jobs for Students will be available on the first page of Moodle from September 2018.
