The academy has helped students from previous courses secure employment at East Midlands Airport.
Students on the courses will be learning new skills required for airport ground handling services with the Level 2 Travel Operation and Level 3 Professional Travel and Tourism courses.
Denise Williams showcased the benefits of working with Swissport and delivered a fantastic presentation to enthusiastic travel and tourism students.
Denise also highlighted that working with Leicester College “increases Swissports employ value proposition with the community. Also provides a great source of aviation minded talent for our core roles.”
It is important that the students get the opportunity to secure their dream career, Denise said, “the objective is to support and coach the students into successful careers within the industry they aspire to succeed in.”
Denise highlighted that she was “very impressed with the facilities and approach taken by the tutors” at Leicester College.
Chloe Clayton is studying level 3 in Professional Travel Operations Diploma.
“I completed my level 2 in Travel and Tourism last year and knew that it was the right career path for me. I decided going to University was not what I wanted to do therefore I enrolled on the level 3 diploma in Professional Travel Operations,
“I am excited about the Swissport Academy opportunity although I am still thinking about exactly which area of the airport I would like to work. I feel the Academy will help guide me.”
