Each year we invite year 10 pupils into the College for Discovery day to give them a taste of a typical day at Leicester College. This year we welcomed a remarkable 190 students across all three of our campuses.

A lot of year 10 pupils struggle to picture a future career pathway for themselves because they simply have not been exposed to the possibilities available to them. Discovery day is an event we put on at the College every year that allows students to discover subjects offered at college level.

On discovery day the year 10 students pre-pick what subject area they wish to explore further. They then get the chance to spend a morning with the tutors within that area who will talk them through the courses available in detail and also giving them a taste of where it could take them.

This year, students from nine schools across Leicester and Leicestershire came to explore their possible future careers.
