This is an exciting and creative digital evening course. Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard for vector graphics software. This course will teach you the basics of this software. It will cover its tools, interface, processes, and workflow at a beginner level. The course can help design websites, graphics, logos, and infographics. It also covers maps and other vector art. The course aims to help you return to education. It will prepare you for further study or work in a creative field. It will also boost your confidence and support your well-being. This course is for adults who are 19+
You will learn the setup, interface, and basic tools. These include layers, formatting, and different pen tools. Once you have successfully learned these skills, we will cover some advanced features. You will create simple shapes and logo elements. Then, build them into compositions. You will also learn about anchor points, control handles, stroke, and fill. You will study the pen tool and some advanced shape and pathfinder features.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course but it's advantageous if you have a keen interest in graphics and the use of vector graphics.
There are no formal assessments on the course, students need to complete the set exercises and can then negotiate their own designs.

Please apply on the College website. You will be contacted to attend an interview if required, or you will be sent a conditional offer according to the entry requirements for the course. You will then be invited in to enrol for your chosen course of study. For enrol and pay courses: Once you have decided to take the course, you need to fill in a short learner details form online and pay the course fee. Once you have done this, you will receive an electronic confirmation of enrolment and payment.
