Leicester College learners paint motorbike pink for Breast Cancer Care

Leicester College learners helped paint a motorbike pink in order to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

The project started after lecturer Antony Jacques’s wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Programme Lead for Body Repair and Paint Refinishing, Antony Jacques said:

“After discussing the battle my wife was going through with colleagues, we discovered many Leicester College staff and their partners had also battled breast cancer.

“We decided to complete a stand-out project in order to help recognition of the battle but more importantly to raise money for a charity that helps those who are suffering.

“It was fantastic to see the learners participate and see the project completed. The bike looks fantastic”

The project has already raised £200 for Breast Cancer Care and the aim is to continue to raise money and eventually auction off the bike to top-up the total.

The bike will be on display at Abbey Park Campus atrium over the next few weeks. Look out for it, take a pic and share it to help raise money.
