Course Overview

The course is for adults aged 19+ to develop their IT User Skills. If you know what career you want to follow and are ready for full-time learning at level 1, this level will allow you to progress your skills further in your chosen subject and can also include work placements. This course runs for one day a week for 12 weeks.

Entry Requirements

This course is for 19+ year old only. That you are not in full-time education and are not employed and have a least an entry level of English and have an interest in using IT.

How you will be assessed

You have class roomed session and will be doing two units on your day in. There will be a variety of exercises and activities to do in which to develop your IT user skills.

Course and Career progression

Once your have successfully completed this course you can progress on to the Level 2 Award in IT User Skills which starts in March/April. There is also the opportunity to progress and apply to the full-time level 1 diploma course at Leicester college where you will be able to progress your skills further in your chosen subject and can also include work placements and community projects.
