This is a one-year study programme designed to build on the knowledge and experience already gained when studying the BTEC 90 Credit Diploma in Business. You will gain further and extended knowledge of the business environment. The course is designed to provide you with the opportunity to study a further range of business subjects, giving you employment and progression choices.
If you are aged 16-18, you will be enrolled on a study programme, which will include retaking GCSEs or undertaking Functional Skills in English and maths if you haven’t already achieved a grade 4 or above. You will also be required to complete a work experience placement and an employability programme.
What You'll Learn
During the course, you will study a total of nine units that will provide you with further in-depth skills and knowledge needed to progress onto the HND in Business Management at Leicester College or enter the workplace or pursue an apprenticeship. Some of the units you will study could include: market research; promotion and branding; visual merchandising and human resources; starting a small business and creating a website.
Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can
demonstrate 90% attendance. A GCSE in both English and maths at grade 4 (C) or above is

There are a variety of assessment methods such as: live projects, report writing, role play assessment, presentations and discussions.

Apply online via UCAS Progress or the College website. You will need details of your qualifications, a reference, and a personal statement to complete your application. Once your application has been successfully processed, you will be sent a conditional offer and be invited to a Welcome Event at the College to meet your tutors, learn more about your chosen course of study and tour the facilities.
