This is a part-time course designed to provide you with the necessary skills to complete hair styling for an Asian bride. You will be encouraged to use your creative skills throughout the course and also to bring in adornments if possible to complete a final bridal look at the end of the course. This intermediate course is also designed for students who have already completed a beginner’s hairstyling course, or those with a background in styling who are looking to specialise their skills.
This is a full cost course. There is no fee remission available and you cannot apply for an advanced learner loan to pay for your fees.
What You'll Learn
The course content will include hair preparation. This will include a brief introduction and demonstration of shampooing and conditioning and well as dry styling, to include straight and curly blow dry techniques. You will be introduced to a range of heated appliances including heated rollers, curling wands, and straightening irons. You will develop skills to enable you to efficiently style hair up with the aid of padding, back-combing, and pin placement. There will also be an opportunity to create hair down looks. Learning techniques for plaits and twists of the hair and attaching traditional adornments will also be covered. You will practice your skills on each other in class and on models if you wish to bring one into the sessions. You will work with our professional range of L’Oreal hair care products.
An interest in hairdressing is essential. This intermediate course is also designed for students who have already completed a beginner’s hairstyling course, or those with a background in styling who are looking to specialise their skills.
