Three Peter Jones Enterprise Academy students recently won the ‘Best Presentation Award’ at the University of Leicester’s annual Entrepreneur of the Future competition.

Leicester College students Ben Webbe, Burhannudin Burhannudin and Paige Kendall successfully pitched their business idea, Club Culture, to judges at the University of Leicester last month.

Club Culture is an app that connects club goers with venues, events, and promotional offers, helping people save money on a night out.

The judges were so impressed by the quality of the pitch that the team were awarded the ‘Best Presentation Award’.

The final took place at the esteemed King Power Stadium, the home ground of premier league champions Leicester City F.C.

Vikesh Mistry, an alumnus of Leicester College’s Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, accompanied the students on the day. Vikesh has worked closely with the college since graduating – mentoring students and helping them develop their entrepreneurial skills.

Discussing his team’s success, Burhannudin Burhannudin said: “The competition gave me the chance to help my peer Ben Webbe develop his brand ‘Club Culture’… I really believe in his business idea and hope that it is a success.  As an entrepreneur I’m always thinking about how to create my identity in the world of business and this competition has helped me realise this.
