Leicester College Libraries

Content

The Library at Leicester College is here to support all students with their learning and study.
The service offers a wide variety of resources including:

  • Study space – both for group work and quiet individual study, and dedicated areas for HE students
  • PCs can be booked in advance, and support with using them (including DigiFIT, a tailored programme of self-study IT skills for those not confident in using PCs)
  • Course textbooks and journals in both print and electronic versions
  • Reading for leisure, including fiction, graphic novels, lifestyle and hobby books
  • Reading and quiet space for wellbeing and mental health
  • A dedicated e-Library on the College’s VLE Moodle, that hosts all of the Library’s e-books, e-journals and databases as well as information to support study
  • Loans can be renewed, resources researched and reserved through the Library online catalogue
  • DVDs and music CDs free to borrow
  • MFDs for copying, printing and scanning
  • Click and collect service is available through the Library online catalogue for Library resources. A ‘how to’ guide can be found in the e-Library under ‘Help and Support’.

Students can borrow resources from any of the three main campus libraries using their student ID card. Outreach students can visit the libraries or come along to any of the scheduled pop-up libraries at the City Skills Centre, Ross Walk and Highfields – ask at the receptions for details.
